Menstrual Cups – Let's Break it down

Menstrual Cups - Let's Break It Down..
A simple & hygienic alternative solution to your monthly period. You may be pleasantly surprised..

Let's face it, we all know about ‘that’ time of the month – your period, its often a taboo topic and many of us don’t feel comfortable talking about it. Blood, pain, bloating..yes it isn’t the most glamorous time of each month but its normal and totally healthy for our bodies so let’s embrace it and talk about alternative period solutions. In 2017 we are spoilt for choice when it comes to alternatives like organic and natural tampons and pads but what about the Menstrual Cup?

What Is a Menstrual Cup?

It may sound completely foreign to you but rest assured, after doing some research I realised that the Juju Menstrual Cup has been designed to work with the female body and also the environment. This Menstrual Cup is made of soft, hypoallergenic, medical grade silicone which collects your menstrual flow. This is worn as you would wear a tampon.

How Does It Work?

The Juju Menstrual Cup is folded and inserted, like a tampon. It then opens, creates a seal and collects menstrual flow. When full it is removed, emptied, rinsed and can be reinserted. In between cycles your menstrual cup is washed and stored ready for your next cycle.

What Are The Benefits Of Using A Menstrual Cup?

Health Benefits:

Did you know that some mainstream tampons and pads contain chlorine, bleach and toxic absorption agents? It’s important to remember that you are exposing the most sensitive area of your body to such harmful chemicals, so think wisely (whatever you choose to use). The Juju Cup is TGA (Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration) approved and has no nasty chemicals, absorption agents, fragrances or BPA!

It can be worn even before your period starts so you are not caught out of the blue and it can be left in for up to 12 hours! So there is no need to worry or rush out to change your tampon or pad. For those of us who have sensitive skin, this product is made from hypoallergenic, medical grade silicone and is perfect for women with sensitive skin, dermatitis and latex allergies.

Cost Effective:

A healthy wallet is a good sign (in my books), when you think about it you could save hundreds each year because you do not have the need to buy tampons or pads any longer! Multiply the amount you would spend each month by 12 and Im sure you will get a huge surprise, by my calculations it is approximately $4000 over a lifetime! As I mentioned before, the Juju Cup can be worn for up to 12 hours so you can even wear them overnight so no need for night pads. With proper care, JuJu will last many years and save you thousands of dollars.

Environmental Benefits:

I love the eco friendly elements of this product! If you use a Juju Cup you will proudly not be adding to the ever growing landfill problem we have or polluting our precious waterways. Even the packaging is printed on 100 % recycled paper, whilst not forgetting that Juju is a sustainable and cruelty free company. Yay!

Can You Wear A Juju?

Yes! Anyone who is menstruating can wear this product, there are no boundaries as to when you can wear them as they are leak proof and can hold three times more fluid than tampons and pads, so you can wear them when you are exercising, sleeping, heavy flow days, or just lying around.

Juju Sizing:

There a 2 different cup sizes to choose from when purchasing a Juju Cup. It’s easy to know which one suits you, depending on a range of factors. For more information, check out the Juju Cup product description at The Well Store which will explain it in more detail.
