18 Ways You Can Use Dr Bronner’s Castile Soap

How To Use This Soap On Your Body:

Face: This is a great alternative to a natural and gentle face wash that is not harsh on your skin. Just 2-3 drops on wet hands, applied to wet face.

Body: For a toxin free body wash safe for the whole family, just add one small squirt on a wet cloth or sponge. Apply to a wet body

Hair: For squeaky clean hair, you can use this as a natural shampoo! Squeeze ½ tbsp. into your hand, work into wet hair. Or alternatively you can dilute ½ tbsp. in ½ a cup of water.

Bath: Take some time out and jump into a relaxing bath. Just add 2 tbsp of your favourite scent of Dr Bronner’s Castile soap into your bath.  (Doesn’t bubble, but still cleans)

Shaving: For a close, clean shave this soap can be used for all areas of the body.  Face – 10 drops; Underarms – 3 drops; Legs – ½ tsp; Work to a lather in wet hands and then apply to area.

Teeth: This will taste like soap but will also clean your teeth. Just add 1 drop on a toothbrush.

Foot Bath: After a hard day it’s great to have a relaxing foot bath. In a small tub just add 1 ½ tsp to hot water and relax.

Clearing Congestion: When a cold sets in you can even use your Castile Soap to help clear and decongest! Add 1 tbsp. in a bowl of steamy hot water. Breathe in mist with a towel draped over the head. Dr Bronner's Castile Soap scents of Peppermint or Eucalyptus are ideal for this.

 

How To Use This Castile Soap for Household Purposes:

Dishes (hand washing): You can use this as a safe natural alternative to toxin filled dish washing liquids. Pre-dilute 1:10 with water. Squirt on a scrub brush and scrub dishes.

Laundry: This clever liquid can also be used as a natural laundry detergent! Just add 1/3-1/2 cup of soap for a large load in a normal washer. You can also add in ½ cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle.

Mopping: Leave your floors sparkling and clean by using ½ cup of soap in a bucket of hot water.

 

All-purpose cleaning: This is perfect for use all around the house. Just add ¼ cup of soap in water filled spray bottle. For added scent and anti-bacterial purposes, you may want to add ¼ tsp of tea tree essential oil if desired.

Windows: For super clean windows without the harsh chemicals just add 1 tbsp. soap into a spray bottle filled with water. Follow up with half vinegar/ half water.

Toilet: An easy way to clean the toilet. Predilute 1:4 with water in a squirt bottle. Add ¼ tsp. tea tree oil. Empty toilet, squirt bowl thoroughly, sprinkle baking soda on the brush, scrub bowl, let sit 10 minutes, turn water on, flush.

 

Other Useful Ways You Can Use Your Dr Bronner’s Soap

 

Fruit and Veggie Rinse: Yes you can also clean your fruit and veggies with this soap! Just add a dash of soap in a bowl of water. Dunk produce and swish, then rinse in clear water.

Dog washing: Pamper your pooch with this natural dog was alternative! The amount varies depending on size of your dog, wet and work into a rich lather and rinse. Your dog will thank you for it.

Plant spray for bugs: Help rid your plants of bugs, castile soap dries out the exoskeletons of insects. Use 1 tbsp. in a spray bottle filled with water. Add ½ tsp. cayenne pepper or cinnamon, if desired.

Ant spray (not on plants): This is a more potent version of the plant bug spray for use on ants, perfect for ant problems around the house. Do not spray this formula on plants! All you need to do is Use ¼ cup of tea Tree Soap in a Litre of water pour this into a spray bottle.
