Merula - Menstrual Cup - Midnight
The super versatile Merula Cup is made out of 100% medical-grade silicone and produced in Germany. It is round, with a rigid edge and a thin, soft body. It has an adaptable, three-rung stem that can be shortened to ensure an individual, optimally comfortable length depending on your cervix, while the shorter, bulb-like shape makes it suitable for those with a low cervix as well.
The menstrual cup can be worn in a folded-up state – only the edge needs to be open. The slight vacuum means the cup can be worn whatever the condition of the pelvic floor muscles.
The Merula Cup midnight is a deep black. It is matched by a dark purple cotton pouch covered with an elegant black lace. A black ribbon is used to close the pouch and hang it up to store the cup in a safe and airy spot between your periods. As a special feature, the Merula Cup midnight is available in special packaging, completely in black and dark purple – just right for midnight.
The Merula Cup is free of plasticizers, Bisphenol A (BPA) and animal-based ingredients.

You can wet the cup or use a water-based lubricant. Insert the folded cup and make sure that the rim opens again when inside. The bottom of the cup can stay collapsed. If the cup leaks, try to correct its position. The cup does not have to be inserted as deep as a tampon.
For removal, press the cup slightly downwards and hold the stem. Move the cup downwards, with slow zigzag movements, until you can reach the bottom. Press the bottom in order to remove the light suction. Now, you can remove the cup completely and clean it.

It's comfortable. Love the black colour.
I have stage 3 cystocele, stage 2 uterine prolapse and avulsion. This cup works ok, still sits crazy low, but its good enough to sleep with, much more comfortable than my lunette. The lack of drainage holes actually gives me a little bit more confidence that it wont fall out as it seems to suck itself onto something in me. Took a bit of practice but I realised I'm best not to fold it, just push it straight in, so that its not actually suctioning my insides into it. I do find it restricts urine flow a bit. I still get slight leaks, but considering how heavy my flow it a helpful tool.
This cup is great. I have a low cervix and it feels really comfortable. Just cut the ladder to the length that suits you. Ive had no leaks and holds alot, has a really good capacity.
I'm feeling confident again using a cup which is wonderful. Definitely recommend.
I’ve been in search of the perfect cup for me and this is it!
