These cocoa beans proudly come from the UNOCACE Fortaleza cooperatives in Ecuador. As with all our cocoa, it is from organic Fairtrade-certified cooperatives committed to improving their members' livelihoods. We then partner with our Swiss chocolate maker, who offsets all CO2 from our production by planting timber trees in the growing areas for additional farmer income.

The native birds of South America gracing our recyclable packaging remind us of this thriving ecosystem behind every chocolate bar.

Bennetto's beautiful fairtrade and organic Peruvian dark chocolate is balanced with pure mint oil and a good splattering of crunchy cocoa nibs. No added soy, gluten or dairy. Certified vegan through the Vegan Society and Coeliac Society approved.

Bennetto's cocoa and sugar are purchased directly from the certified Fairtrade supplier in Peru and they pay the additional Fairtrade Premium, which is passed on to our producers. This chocolate is handcrafted in New Zealand, with its beautiful packaging and illustrations being commissioned by Artist Henrietta Harris.

Made in a facility that also handles milk, hazelnuts, almonds and soy.
