Love the idea but needs a little work

I am really keen to use renewable eco-friendly options and chose this product to set up my kitchen after moving house.
I love the dishbrush for practicality however, the brush quickly detached from the handle within the first two days of use. I am trying to use glue and toothpicks to jam the brush back into the handle but it was a disappointing start.

I received this as a gift because I was trying to get rid of plastic in my kitchen. Very easy to use in kitchen and also in my bathroom too. Really enjoying it
