Black tea (Camellia sinensis)

Naturally occurring caffeine in black tea provides an energy boost to start your day. Black tea is packed full of antioxidants to improve overall well-being and enhance longevity.

Ceylon cinnamon (cinnamomum verum)

Cinnamon is not only spicy and deliciously sweet, but it also warms the digestive tract to calm stomach cramps and discomfort. Traditionally used to reduce menstrual pain and aid in the treatment of IBS.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.)

Ginger’s warming and nourishing qualities help to stimulate circulation. This aids in the transport of nutrients throughout the body. Ginger is commonly used in clinical practice for reducing nausea, stomach cramps and discomfort and to detoxify the body.

Clove (Trifolium pratense)

With its beautiful rich flavour, clove contains high amounts of antioxidant, assisting with cell repair and growth.

Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum)

Cardamom in Ayurvedic medicine has been found to reduce symptoms of bloating, acid reflux, flatulence, and nausea.

Black pepper  (Piper nigrum)

Black pepper complements the blend by adding a beautiful, warm, woody flavour. It has been found to reduce pain and inflammation due to it containing the constituent piperine.

Star anise (Illicium verum)

In Ayurvedic medicine, star anise is used to treat respiratory conditions, digestive issues and nausea. Star anise has also been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for its warming and nourishing qualities.

Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), licorice is used to clear heat and dispel toxicity as it tonifies the Basal Qi and nourishes the Spleen Qi. In Western herbal medicine, licorice is viewed as an adrenal tonic as it nourishes the adrenal glands and supports energy regulation. Licorice has also traditionally been used as an immune tonic to soothe a sore throat.
